Meghalaya’s minimum wage highest in NE: CM
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has announced that Meghalaya now offers the Northeast’s highest minimum wage at Rs 525, placing it second only to Karnataka across India. Framing this as a key pro-poor initiative, he noted that the state’s economy is expanding steadily, with a $10 billion GSDP target and more than 3.6 lakh new jobs created in recent years.
