Meghalaya cabinet approves amendment to Fiscal Act
Meghalaya's state cabinet has greenlit amendments allowing a higher fiscal deficit ceiling of 3.5% of GSDP, enabling increased borrowing. Additionally, 50% of 'Group D' posts will now be filled by Regular Casual Workers. The Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission will also establish its own recruitment board for staff.
