Goa's coastal establishments face increased scrutiny for noise rule violations. The Goa State Pollution Control Board has recorded hundreds of exceedances and received numerous public complaints. The board is collaborating with police and district collectors to enforce regulations and is initiating environmental compensation for offenders. A noise mapping study is also underway to guide future actions.
