Cabinet approves new bill to impose fine up to Rs 3L for dumping trash in Goa
Goa is cracking down on illegal dumping with hefty fines, ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 3 lakh for repeat offenders. The amendment to the Goa Non-Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Act, 1996, prohibits dumping in public and private spaces, including water bodies. The Goa State Pollution Control Board will monitor waste digitally and impound vehicles used for illegal dumping.
